Born and raised in Ixopo, a town in kwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Manci-Dj whose real name is Mhlengi Manci was born in 2002 April 16 is a self-taught Dj and Music Producer who paved his own path to success.

He started making music in 2014 where he was known as a rapper inspiring other kids in his village. He then started producing hip hop beats in 2016. With the help of Youtube he learnt deejaying and started playing at local events.

He matriculated in 2019 at Mariathal Combined School and took an unplanned gap year in 2020 that he used as time to master his skills including Graphic Designing.

In 2021 he started at Durban University of Technology, where he made enough connections to put him up. Today he has worked with the likes of Dj Bongz, Paul B, Masalad(Mapaputsi's Producer) KAE and many other artists doing various genres.

He played at Jameson's Pub alongside Zuluboy, Zakwe and Mzulu. He then became a resident Dj at Havana Music cafe where he shared the Dj box with Dj Lag, Campmasters, Worst Behavior and Dj Wobbly. He is currently a resident Dj at Ozone Club in Durban.

He recently got featured on Baba ka Dudu, a song by Dj Bongz.

He is an independent artist working as a music producer, club Dj, music video director and editor.
