  • Wayitilila - Latty Watts

Latty Watts, born Nanyonga Latifah on May 3, 2005, in Kyagwe, Uganda, is a talented musician and songwriter. She grew up in Wankulukuku, Kampala, and began her educational journey at Istiquama Muslim Primary School in Bugiri, where she completed her primary education. She then attended London High School in Kabowa, Kampala, for her O and A levels.

Latty Watts' music career began at a young age, and she gained recognition as a backing artist from Eastern Uganda. Her unique voice and style, which blend traditional Ugandan music with modern genres like Afrobeat, RnB, and Zouk, have captivated audiences and set her apart in the music industry.

Some of her most popular songs include "Boyfriend," "Kalela," and "Ompaza," which have resonated with fans across Uganda and beyond. Her music often features meaningful lyrics and catchy melodies, making her one of the most promising talents in the Ugandan music industry.

In 2023, Latty Watts was signed by Fire Nation Africa Management, marking a significant milestone in her career. Her first song under the label, "Kalela," was a huge success, followed by the release of her projects "Boyfriend," "Kalela," and "Family."

Latty Watts' family is a vital part of her life, with her father, Shona Bashir, a chef worker at Cafe Pap, and her mother, Nanjego Sarah, a self-employed entrepreneur. Her parents have been a constant source of support and inspiration throughout her music journey.

In addition to her music career, Latty Watts is a brand ambassador for Sanyu Juice Company and L.W.A Company, which deals in makeup and fashion. She is a rising star in the Ugandan music industry, and her talent, hard work, and dedication have made her a household name.
