Chosen Star

Chosen Star (born 14 October 2007), whose real name is Ayebale Sekaranzi, is a Ugandan Afropop and Dancehall recording and performing artist. He was born in Kagadi district but later migrated to kasimbi village within the Bunyoro sub-region. He began his professional music career in 2026 and gained early recognition with his debut single “Confess.”

Early Life and Education

Chosen Star was born to the late Tusiime Ruth and Yokoniya Male in Kasimbi village in Kibaale District. He spent most of his childhood in the Bunyoro region where he developed an early interest in music and performance.

For his education, he attended Kasimbi Primary School for his primary studies. He later joined St John Baptist Seed Secondary School, where he completed his secondary education while nurturing his passion for music.

Chosen Star officially launched his music career in 2026. His debut single “Confess” was recorded under Clean Sounds Records and produced by Trabo. The song introduced him as an emerging artist in the Ugandan music scene.
